Today I am shareing my own MACARONI and CHEESE with POTATO CHIPS recipe with you.
INGREDIENTS:
* 125gr Butter
* 3 Tablesp flour
* 1 Litre milk
* 1 Teasp gar and gin
* 1 Teasp fisherman’s spice
* ½ Teasp pepper
* R40 Cheddar cheese
* 3 Chicken breast (optional)
* 250gr Macaroni
* 1 Big packet cheese and onion or smoked beef simba chips crumbled
METHOD:
- Heat the butter in a saucepan over moderate heat then add the flour and stir until smooth.
- Add the garlic, ginger, fisherman’s spice, pepper and a little milk and stir until smooth.
- Add the rest of milk and cook over moderately low heat, stirring occasionally until thickened, about 10 minutes.
- Add a handful of cheese and stir until cheese has melted and completely smooth.
- Meanwhile in a medium pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta until al dente and drain well.
- Pour your pasta, half chips and cheese sauce in a oven dish and stir to coat completely.
- Top with the rest of the cheese and crumbled potato chips, bake for 10 minutes and leave it in the oven for a while enjoy. 😋
Can potato chips be replaced with cassava chips?
Yes, it depends on the taste you wish to achieve which is the best method to cook with.
