LAMB CURRY

Today I am sharing Cape Malay Cooking with Fatima Sydow LAMB CURRY recipe with you.

INGREDIENTS :

* 1kg Lamb pieces
* 3 Onions finely chopped
* 3 Tablesp oil
* 3-4 Cardamom pods
* 3-4 Cinnamon sticks
* 3 Tablesp garlic
* 1 Tablesp grated ginger
* 1 Teasp turmeric
* 3 Tablesp roasted Masala
* 1 Tablesp breyani masala
* Salt to taste
* 6 Potatoes half cubed
* Fresh coriander

METHOD:

  1. In a large pot, heat the oil on medium heat and add the onions, salt, cardamom, and cinnamon sticks and fry until golden brown.
  2. Add the meat, garlic and ginger and braise for 5-10 minutes. 
  3. Add 1 cup of hot water and cook for 30-40 minutes on medium heat, stirring occasionally. N
  4. ext add all the spices and braise and stir for 10 minutes, adding only a tablespoon of water at a time.
  5. Add the potatoes and 1 to 2 cups of water and cook until potatoes are soft, stirring when required and garnish with fresh handful coriander then serve with roti, white plain or basmati rice enjoy. 😋
