Aiming to give the local community a platform that is difficult to achieve on various commercial and community television stations, Proe (the Afrikaans word for “Taste”) is a community television cooking program. The producers’ main goal is to keep the program true to the natural homestead cooking and true to reality, rather than making it more perfect. The focus of this program is on you in the kitchen as you demonstrate and impart to the audience the true essence of home cuisine. Abidah Dixon Mohamed is the host of this multilingual show, that is spoken in Afrikaans and English for all to enjoy.
