CORNED BEEF HASH BAKED EGGS – Recipe

Today I share Justine Sulia’s Corned Beef Hash Baked Eggs recipe with you.
*INGREDIENTS*
* 3 Tablespoons olive oil* 1 Small onion
* 3 medium potatoes
* ¼ Cup red pepper
* ¼ Cup green pepper
* Salt and black pepper
* 1 Clove garlic
* 1½ Cups corned beef
* 6 large eggs
* ½ Cup cheese
* Fresh parsley chopped* 3 Tablespoons olive oil
* 1 Small onion
* 3 medium potatoes
* ¼ Cup red pepper
* ¼ Cup green pepper
* Salt and black pepper
* 1 Clove garlic
* 1½ Cups corned beef
* 6 large eggs
* ½ Cup cheese
* Fresh parsley chopped
*METHOD*
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees, then in a large oven-safe pan heat the olive oil over medium heat then add your diced onion, potatoes, green and red peppers.
- Season with salt and black pepper and cook for 10-12 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
- Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute or until nice and fragrant.
- Stir in the corned beef for a few minutes then remove from heat.
- Crack the eggs on top of the hash and sprinkle on the cheese and bake the hash for about 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the eggs are done to your liking.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with more black pepper and top with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately. 😋
MA ELS SE VLEISDEEG – Recipe

Vandag deel ek Anty Elsie’s Ma Els Se Vleisdeeg met jou
*INGREDIENTS*
*10 eetlepels koekmeel
*1 koppie melk
*4teelepels bakpoeier
*‘n Knippie sout
*4 eetlepels botter of margarine
*2 eiers
*METHOD*
- Vryf droee bestandele en botter saam met vingerpunte.
- Klits eiers effens en voeg by
- Voeg melk by mengsel om ‘n slap deeg te vorm (as deeg te styf is kan jy bietjie meer melk byvoeg)
- Skep met ‘n lee poor warm vleis.
- Bak vir ongeveer 10 minute in oond van 400 (180) grade
NIKITA’s MINT VINIGAR
- Sit ‘n paar heel peperkorrels in ‘n skoon glas bottle.
- Voet twee of drie heel naeltjies by (opsioneel)
- Sit ‘n paar vars “mint leaves” in en seel die bottel.
- Laat staan vir so 5 tot 7 dae end an is dit reg vir gebruik.
- Net ‘n klein bietjie oor vleis – of selfs in ‘n slaai gee ‘n heerlike smaak aan jou dis.
SHAKSHUKA BREAKFAST – Recipe

Today I share Farzana Kumandan SHAKSHUKA breakfast recipe with you.
*INGREDIENTS*
* 1 Onion
* Piece of butter
* 2 Grated garlic cloves
* 3 Red chillies
* 1 Tin tomatoes
* 4 Grated tomatoes
* 3 Tablespoons sugar
* 1 Heap teasp paprika
* 1 Heaped teasp jeera
* Salt and pepper to taste
*METHOD*
- Braise the chopped onion in the butter till golden brown, then add the 2 finely grated garlic cloves.
- Add your 3 chopped red chillies, the 1 tin peeled chopped tomatoes and the 4 grated tomatoes (must be grated not liquidised)
- Now add your 3 tablespoons sugar, 1 heaped teaspoon paprika, 1 heaped teaspoon jeera and your salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook until tomato has thickened and water has reduced, then add to a flat baking dish and smooth it out with the back of a spoon.
- Crack open 6 eggs randomly next to each other and bake on 180degrees for 10-13 minutes (for semi runny yolk)
Garnish with fresh chopped danya and serve immediately with a crusty Toasted bread enjoy. 😋

You can do it with different variations by adding spinach, mushroom, feta, cold meats, mince, beans or any of your favorite breakfast ingredients.

PASTRY SNACKS – Recipe

Today I share my own pastry snacks recipe with you.
*INGREDIENTS*
* 2-3 Flaky role pastries
* Cheese
* Vienna’s
* Butter
* Sugar
* Cinnamon
* 1 Egg
*METHOD*
- Roll out your pastries, cut it the shape and sizes you want.
- Now roll some with stick cheese, some with vienna’s, some with greated cheese and some you spread with butter and sprinkle it with cinnamon and sugar.
- Or just put on what ever you want.
- Brush it with the egg wash and bake it in a warm oven on 175dg for about 30-40minutes enjoy. 😋
CHOCOLATE BANANA LOAF – Recipe

Today I share Hein Scholtz CHOCOLATE BANANA LOAF recipe with you.
*INGREDIENTS*
* 5 Medium overripe bananas
* 200g Butter softened
* 2 Eggs
* ½ Cup brown sugar
* 1 Teasp vanilla essence
* 1 Teasp ground cinnamon
* 1 Cup chopped almonds
* 3 Heaped tablesp greek yoghurt Mix well.
* SIFT OVER THE WET INGREDIENTS*
* 1.5 Cups self raising flower
* 1 Teasp bicarb
* ⅓ Cup cocoa, or a half cup if you like it extra chocolatey but then add a little more butter and yogurt, about a tablespoon extra each.
*METHOD*
- Now fold in all ingredients mix well, then place it in a large bread pan that has been buttered and then spray it with non stick spray.
- Bake at 175 degrees C for 50min then check it with a toothpick, if the toothpick is still wet then let it bake for another 10min at 160 degrees C enjoy. 😋
PEPPERMINT TART DESSERT – Recipe

*INGREDIENTS*
* 500ml Fresh cream
* 1 Can caramel
* 1 Packet tennis biscuit
* 1 Peppermint crisp chocolate
* 1 Drop peppermint essence
* 1 Packet mint areo bubbles balls
*METHOD*
- Whip cream then add caramel, using a spatula make sure all the caramel is incorporated in the cream then add the one drop of peppermint essence.
- Use spray and cook on a casserole and line base with the tennis biscuits then top with mixture and repeat until u finished the biscuits and mixture.
- Then crumble the peppermint crisp chocolate and the packet of balls all over to cover the dessert nicely Enjoy. 😋
SHIHAAM DOMINGO MOMMY’S SMOKE SNOEK – Recipe

*INGREDIENTS*
* Smoke snoek
* 30ml Oil
* 60ml Butter
* 2 Tomatoes
* 1 Green chilli
* Salt and pepper to taste
*METHOD*
- Fry the smoke Snoek in a little oil and butter with some fresh tomatoes, green chili, salt and pepper.
- You can eat it with lekker fresh buttered bread enjoy.
BUTTER CHICKEN – Recipe

Today I share Meezaan’s Tasty Treats lekker Butter Chicken recipe with you.
*INGREDIENTS*
* 1KG Chicken fillets
* Little oil
* 1 Onion
* 1 Tablesp garlic
* 1 Teasp jeera
* 1 Teasp koljander
* 2 Teasp chicken masala
* ½ Teasp crushed chilis
* 4 Tablesp plain double thick yogurt
* 1 Teasp tumeric
* 250ml Fresh cream
* 1 Pkt tomato paste
* Salt & Pepper to taste
*METHOD*
- Marinate the chicken fillets with the yogurt and spices.
- Add the oil to the pot and soften the onions.
- Add the garlic and the marinated chicken.
- Add tomato paste and let it simmer for a few minutes, then lastly add the fresh cream and your danya. Service with basmati rice or naan bread enjoy.
SNOWBALL – Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
* 4 Eggs
* ½ Suger
* 2 Cups flour
* 3 Teasp baking powder
* ½ Cup milk
* 1 Full cup water
* ½ Cup oil
*METHOD*
- Add eggs and sugar in a mixer and cream together, then add the milk, water and oil to the creamed eggs.
- Give it a quick whisk, then add the flour and baking powder then mix thoroughly.
- Scoop into crease muffin pan and bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes and let it cool down.
CREAMY GARLIC PRAWNS – Recipe

Today I share Desire’s lekke CREAMY GARLIC PRAWNS recipe with you.
INGREDIENTS:
* 1.5kg Prawns
* 2 Tablesp oil
* 2 Garlic cloves crushed
* 1 Handful of chives
* 125g Butter
* 600ml Cream
* 1 Tablesp curry powder
* Salt and pepper to taste
*METHOD*
Heat your oil in the pan then add your prawns,
salt, and pepper and fry quickly until cooked and remove from the stove and set aside.
- Add the butter, garlic and chives to the same pan once fragrant add cream and curry powder.
- Bring to boil and return prawns and simmer for 10 mins until nice and creamy. 😋

BOBOTIE – Recipe

Today I share Trixie’s lekker BOBOTIE recipe with you.
* INGREDIENTS*
* 2 Tablespoons oil
* 2 Medium onions
* 1 Kg mince
* 1 Cup milk
* 2 Slices thick toast bread
* ½ Cup raisins
* 1 Teaspoon apricot jam
* 1 Tablesp hot chutney
* ½ Tablesp curry powder
* ½ Teaspoon salt
* 1 Teasp black pepper
* 1 Large egg
* ½ Teaspoon salt
1 Bay leaf
METHOD:
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat and braise the onions in the hot oil until soft.
- Break the mince into the pan and cook until brown. Place the milk in a bowl and soak the toast bread in the milk, squeeze the excess milk from the bread and set the milk aside.
- Add the bread to the mince mixture and stir in the raisins, apricot jam, chutney, curry powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake in the preheated oven 1 hour.
- While the bobotie bakes, whisk together the reserved milk, egg, and the salt and pour over the top of the dish.
- Lay the bay leaf onto the top of the milk mixture and return the bobotie to the oven until the top is golden brown enjoy.
STEAMED MILO CHOCOLATE CAKE – Recipe

Today I share YUMMY KITCHEN’S NO BAKE, STEAMED MILO CHOCOLATE CAKE recipe with you.
INGREDIENTS:
* 4 Sachet milo (88g)
* 4 Tablesp brown sugar
* 4 Tabsp flour
* ¾ milk
* ¼ oil
* 2 egg beaten
* 1 Teasp baking powder
* 1 Teasp baking soda
* 1 Teasp vanilla extract
* ¼ Teasp salt
METHOD:
- Combine the milo, sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda and flour in a bowl and mix.
- Add the milk, oil, eggs and the vanilla extract and mix them very well.
- Through the batter in a greased mold, line with aluminum foil and steam for 15 minutes, on a pot of boiling water covered with more foil until toothpick inserted at the center comes out clean, let it cool down.
For the Hot Milo Chocolate Fudge over the cake recipe.
* ⅓ Cup cream
* ¼ Cup water
* ¼ Cup milo powder
* 150g Dark chocolate
* 1 Tabsp glucose
METHOD:
- Place all the ingredients in a small saucepan, cook over a low heat and stir until the mixture is melted nice and shiny enjoy!
CREAMY BUTTER CHICKEN – Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
* 1 Tablespoon oil
* 1 Tablespoon butter
* 1 Medium onion diced
* 1 Teaspoon fresh ginger
* 3 Cloves garlic crushed
* 3 Chicken breasts
* 1 Can tomato paste
* 1 Tablesp garam masala
* 1 Teasp chilli powder
* 1 Teaspoon cumin
* 1 Tsp salt
* ¼ Teasp black pepper
* 1 Cup heavy cream
* ½ Cup plain yogurt
* ½ Bunch danya
METHOD:
- Heat a large saucepan over medium heat and add the oil, butter, and onions and let braise until golden brown.
- Add the garlic and ginger and stir for a few minutes, then add the chicken, tomato paste, and spices and let it cook through.
- Add the heavy cream and yogurt and simmer for 10 minutes stirring occasionally and serve over Basmati rice or naan bread enjoy.
ONE POT SPAGHETTI BOLOGNAISE BAKE – Recipe
Ingredients
Serves 4
1 tbsp olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 large carrot, finely chopped
1-2 stalks celery, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves peeled + chopped
500g mince beef
1 tsp parsley
1/3 cup tomato paste
1 can chopped tomatoes
3½ cups beef stock
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fatti’s & Moni’s Bellissimo Bucatini, 250g
2 tubs Cream cheese
¾ – 1 cup Mozzarella cheese
¾ – 1 cup Gouda Cheese
METHOD:
- Add the oil to a cast iron pot, over medium heat. Add the chopped onions, carrots and celery and fry for 5-8 minutes
- Add the garlic and mince, breaking up the mince with a wooden spoon. Fry for 5-8 minutes or until brown.
- Stir in the tomato paste, chopped tomatoes, stock, salt and pepper. Cover and bring to the boil. Add the parsley
- Add the Fatti’s & Moni’s Bellissimo Bucatini. Cook for 5-7 min until pasta starts to soften and the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Remove from heat.
- Drop spoons full of cream cheese onto the spaghetti bolognaise top, trying to create the most solid possible ‘layer,’ then sprinkle gouda cheese, followed by mozzarella cheese on top, ensuring to fully cover the pasta.
- Place the pot into the oven at 180°C, for 10-15 minutes, until cheese is golden and bubbling.
- Top with fresh basil leaves, serve and ENJOY!
LIGHT & CRISPY SPIRAL PIE – Recipe
Ingredients
Serves: 6 – 8
½ cup Spekko brown rice
½ cup olive oil (enough to grease the pan and phyllo)
½ large onion, finely chopped
1 punnet of sliced mushrooms, finely chopped
250g spinach, washed, ribbed and finely chopped
½ cup sundried tomatoes, finely chopped
2 cloves of fresh garlic, finely chopped
1 teaspoon lemon zest, finely grated
1 large egg, beaten
2 rounds of feta, drained and crumbled
Salt & freshly ground pepper to taste
9 – 12 sheets of phyllo pastry
Sesame seeds, black and white mixed (optional garnish)
Tzatziki (for serving)
METHOD:
- Pre-heat your oven to 180C°.
- Bring 1 cup of salted water to a boil in a medium sized pot. Add the rice, cover & reduce the heat. Allow to simmer for 35-40 minutes. Turn off the heat and allow the rice to sit covered for a further 10 – 15 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork and allow to cool.
- Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and the mushrooms, stirring occasionally until the they have softened and browned slightly, about 8 minutes.
- Place into a large bowl and set aside
- Wipe the pan down, lower the heat and add the spinach. Add a splash of hot water to avoid the spinach from burning. Cook until soft, drain (if necessary), then add to the bowl with the onion and mushrooms.
- Add the sundried tomatoes, garlic, lemon zest, the egg, feta and rice and mix everything together.
- Layer 3 sheets of phyllo pastry on top of each other, brushing between each layer with olive oil.
- Spread a 2cm thick line of the filling lengthways on the pastry and roll it gently to form a long roll.
- Add the 1st phyllo roll into the outer edge of a spring form tin.
- Continue the same process until you complete the spiral shape in the centre. (PLEASE NOTE: Every time you add a new phyllo roll, make sure to secure it’s end under the previous phyllo roll – to prevent the filling from spilling out.)
- Brush the completed spiral pie with some more olive oil and prick the pie a few times with a toothpick to ensure that the steam can escape in the baking process.
- Top with sesame seeds and bake for 35-45 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.
- Serve with a generous spoonful of tzatziki and ENJOY!
SWEET CURRY MINCE – Recipe

Bobotie is a sweet curry mince dish set in an egg custard traditionally served on yellow rice, but is delicious with Basmati too.
INGREDIENTS:
* Oil
* 1 Slice of white bread soaked in milk
* 2 Onions, chopped
* 2 Teasp crushed garlic
* 500g Topside mince
* 15ml Curry powder
* 2ml Salt
* 2 Tablesp chutney
* 2 Tablesp brown vinegar
* 2 Tablesp Worchester sauce
* 2 Teasp Tumeric
* 2 Tablesp Brown sugar
* 100ml Sultanas
* 2 Eggs beaten separately
* 1 Cup milk with a pinch of tumeric
METHOD:
- Heat the oven to 180 degrees and fry onions in oil then add the mince and brown.
- Add the curry powder and other spices, cook through then remove from the heat.
- Mix in the Sultana’s and one beaten egg and the soggy bread and spoon it into a greased oven dish.
- Mix the milk, turmeric and the second egg together and pour it over the mince mixture.
- Arrange some bay leaves on the surface and bake it for about 45-50 minutes.
PEPPERDEW DIP – Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
* ½ Cup lowfat mayonnaise
* 1 Teaspoon red peppercorns, crushed
* 8 Pickled sweet red cherry peppers, such as Peppadews, drained and chopped
* Handful fresh coriander leaves chopped
* Squeeze of a lime juice
METHOD:
Mix all the ingredients together in a medium bowl until well combined enjoy. 😋
MACARONI & CHEESE with POTATO CHIPS – Recipe

Today I am shareing my own
MACARONI and CHEESE with POTATO CHIPS
recipe with you.
INGREDIENTS:
* 125gr Butter
* 3 Tablesp flour
* 1 Litre milk
* 1 Teasp gar and gin
* 1 Teasp fisherman’s spice
* ½ Teasp pepper
* R40 Cheddar cheese
* 3 Chicken breast (optional)
* 250gr Macaroni
* 1 Big packet cheese and onion or smoked beef simba chips crumbled
METHOD:
- Heat the butter in a saucepan over moderate heat then add the flour and stir until smooth.
- Add the garlic, ginger, fisherman’s spice, pepper and a little milk and stir until smooth.
- Add the rest of milk and cook over moderately low heat, stirring occasionally until thickened, about 10 minutes.
- Add a handful of cheese and stir until cheese has melted and completely smooth.
- Meanwhile in a medium pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta until al dente and drain well.
- Pour your pasta, half chips and cheese sauce in a oven dish and stir to coat completely.
- Top with the rest of the cheese and crumbled potato chips, bake for 10 minutes and leave it in the oven for a while enjoy. 😋
NOTE:
- You can choose your own simba or Lays chips flavor, and you can add some half cherry tomatoes as well.
- You can also use the same dish and pour it into muffin pans and decorate it differently.
LAMB CURRY – Recipe

Today I am sharing Cape Malay Cooking with
Fatima Sydow LAMB CURRY recipe
with you.
INGREDIENTS :
* 1kg Lamb pieces
* 3 Onions finely chopped
* 3 Tablesp oil
* 3-4 Cardamom pods
* 3-4 Cinnamon sticks
* 3 Tablesp garlic
* 1 Tablesp grated ginger
* 1 Teasp turmeric
* 3 Tablesp roasted Masala
* 1 Tablesp breyani masala
* Salt to taste
* 6 Potatoes half cubed
* Fresh coriander
METHOD:
- In a large pot, heat the oil on medium heat and add the onions, salt, cardamom, and cinnamon sticks and fry until golden brown.
- Add the meat, garlic and ginger and braise for 5-10 minutes.
- Add 1 cup of hot water and cook for 30-40 minutes on medium heat, stirring occasionally. N
- ext add all the spices and braise and stir for 10 minutes, adding only a tablespoon of water at a time.
- Add the potatoes and 1 to 2 cups of water and cook until potatoes are soft, stirring when required and garnish with fresh handful coriander then serve with roti, white plain or basmati rice enjoy. 😋
INGREDIENTS:
* 3 Tablesp butter
* 1 Small onion chopped
* 3 Chicken fillets cubed
* 1 Chopped green chilli * 1 Green pepper
* 1 Grated carrot
* Half cup frozen corn
* 1 Teasp garlic
* Pepper to taste
* BBQ spice to taste
* (no salt)
METHOD:
1) Braise your onion in the butter till golden brown, then add the rest of your top ingredients one by one till it combines nicely. 2) Mix one packet thick veg soup and one packet cream of chicken soup with 2 litre cold milk. 3) Add your soup mixture and one tin creamstyle corn and either 1x 250ml fresh cream or 1 tin ideal milk. 4) Stir continuously till soup boils and garnish with fresh parsley the soup will thicken while standing. 5) Serve with your favorite savories or a crusty garlic bread enjoy. 😋
NOTE:
Once the soup has completely cooled you can freeze it enjoy. 😋
